Why Choreographer Vijay Ganguly Praised Sharvari's Growth? Taras Was Very Different From Champagne...
Sharvari’s dance number Champagne from Alpha is drawing attention for its street-style energy, and choreographer Vijay Ganguly says the performance reflects a clear jump in her growth as a dancer. After working with her on Taras, Vijay has now praised the actor for the discipline she brought to the new track.

The song gives Sharvari a more physical and rhythm-heavy space than Taras. According to Vijay, the brief for Champagne was lively, youthful and rooted in a street and hip-hop mood. That meant longer rehearsals, sharper movement and a different kind of body language on camera.
Vijay Ganguly on Sharvari’s Champagne prep
Vijay said Sharvari surprised the team with how quickly she absorbed the choreography. “Taras was very different from Champagne. Adi sir and Shiv wanted this song to have a lively, street and hip-hop vibe. We told Sharvari she'd have to rehearse a lot, but she picked it up so fast that I eventually had to tell her, 'Stop rehearsing because you're over-rehearsing.'”
He added that Sharvari kept polishing both the steps and expressions until the performance felt exact. For a song built on pace and attitude, that preparation became important. It also helped the team move faster during filming, especially in demanding portions that needed control and stamina.
Vijay recalled that the shoot felt unusually smooth once the camera rolled. “She performed the choreography like butter. Even a difficult long-take sequence was wrapped much faster than we expected because she was so prepared. She gives such great takes,” he said.
From Taras to Champagne
The choreographer first worked with Sharvari on Taras, where she had limited rehearsal time. Even then, he said, she impressed him with her expressions, grace and screen command. Champagne, however, appears to have allowed her to push into a more confident and high-energy dance zone.
Vijay said watching that shift has been rewarding. “It's been fantastic seeing Sharvari's journey from Taras to Champagne and how much she has grown. She gave this song her 100% her energy, precision, look and performance. Every time we work together, it still feels like the first day. She's got a great future.”
For Sharvari, Champagne arrives as another performance-led moment in Alpha’s music album. The track is being noticed not just for its choreography, but for how comfortably she carries its attitude, movement and screen presence. Vijay’s comments underline the work behind what looks effortless on screen.
