The OTT premiere of Animal is expected to take place 8 weeks after its theatrical debut, which is scheduled for December 1, 2023. As per reports, the film is expected to premiere on Netflix India from January 26.

The OTT version of Animal will be an even more immersive experience as reports suggest that the OTT version of Animal will be 30 minutes longer than its original 3 hours and 21 minutes runtime.

Talking about the film's theatrical runtime, Ranbir Kapoor told IndiaToday, "The story of 'Animal' requires this amount of time to reach the audience. Don't be panicked by the length and just come experience cinema at its best."

Animal's CBFC Certification

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer secured an 'A' certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), 'Animal' has been a subject of discussion not just for its content but also its initial runtime.

The first cut of the film reportedly was at 3 hours and 49 minutes, but to ensure a smoother theatrical experience, a few scenes were trimmed, resulting in the final runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes.
