Asur 2 REVIEW: Imagine a product so good that you waited for it for more than three years? You DMed the celebrities, stalked their social media profiles to get an update about the second season and what not? Well, Asur 2- The Rise of the Dark side that premiered on Jio Cinema didn't disappoint. In fact, it is edgier and crispier than the first season.

Guess what's the first thing you will say after watching the web series? 'The wait for three years was worth it'- we you will. The crime thriller starring Barun Sobti, Arshad Warsi, Anupriya Goenka, Ridhi Dogra is perfect for weekend binge-watch as it will keep on the edge of your seats till the last scene.

ASUR SEASON 2 REVIEW: EDGIER & ADDICTIVE- JIO CINEMA'S BIGGEST SHOW IS A MUST-WATCH

While Asur season one ended on a cliffhanger, Asur 2: The Rise of the Dark side unfolded the dramatic storytelling, turning out to be crispier than the first installment, making everyone realise why the series was such a phenomenon in the first place.

The thriller is backed with power-packed performances, gripping storyline and impressive screenplay. All this makes Asur 2 a must-watch.

ASUR 2 STORY REVIEW

The combination of mytho and thriller works best for the web series as it once again takes you on a roller coaster journey filled with drama, suspense, action. Shubh Joshi is here to seek revenge, taking things a notch higher in the second season. Our heroes, Dhananjay and Nikhil, have yet another daunting task to prevent him from wreaking havoc.

Asur 2 is all about the battle between good and evil, and makers have craftly infused the elements of believer vs non-believer, technology vs religion in the plot. Kudos to them.

As the 'Asur' wreaked havoc and indulged in serial killings, the forensic experts and the CBI teamed up again, engaging in a cat-and-mouse game with the powerful villain to stop him from destruction of human race. Can they track down the serial killer and finish off the game, specially when they are running short of time? This forms the crux of the story.

ASUR 2 ACTING REVIEW

Can I say it loud and clear? I have to. The artists of Asur are a delight to watch on the screen as they have completely dedicated themselves to the show. Be it our Nikhil Nair (Barun Sobti) or DJ (Arshad Warsi), the actors have done a phenomenal job once again.

It's a crime that Barun Sobti is not featuring in many OTT shows. He is a charmer and lits up the screen with his performance in Asur 2. You will resonate well with Nikhil's character and understand his pain of losing a child, all thanks to Barun's classy act.

There are several scenes where he displays his acting prowess, specially the ones where Nikhil struggles with the grief of his daughter's death and still has to keep his concentration on investigating the case.

The girls have once again killed it. Ridhi Dogra, who is a blossiming like a flower on OTT these days, showcased the required vulnerability in scenes where she had to fight off her inner demons. Anupriya Goenaka aka Naina managed to keep us glued to the screens, courtesy of her impressive performance. Her character went through a major loss and the way Anupriya portrayed the emotions of a grieving mother made us fall in love with her all over again.

Vishesh Bansal might be only 18 but he can give a run top actors a run for their money. His performance is brilliant and will make you clap for him. How can we not mention Abhishek Chauhan aka the grown-up Shubh Joshi? The way he displayed the evil side of the character deserves a special mention. He is tailor-made for the role, no doubt to it.

Just like first season, Asur 2 also ended with a cliffhanger and it hinted towards a third season. The series is a banger and it hits all right notes. If you are wondering whether to watch it or not, we recommend you to do it right away. There will not be an iota of disappointment. Trust us.
