DHANANJAY CALLS OTT A BIG CHALLENGE FOR TV SHOWS

The renowned casting director talked about how OTT shows were presenting a significant challenge to television shows. Sharing his views about the same, Dhananjay said, "The introduction and rise of OTT shows in the market has thrown a challenge on the makers of television shows."

Further talking about the selection of content, he added, "Nowadays, the audience are very choosy about the content they want to watch and the likability for shows that run for years has declined over the years."

Predicting a major change in the television industry, Dhananjay said, "shows on OTT run season-wise, and the same pattern is gradually being followed in our television industry. In the coming years, the television industry will undergo a drastic change to keep the audience hooked on television shows. The shows will run for a limited time span and will return with seasons. OTT has certainly accelerated this trend towards the television industry."

For the unversed, Dhananjay has been in the industry for 14 years and he has launched several stars like Abrar Qazi, Manan Joshi, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shruti Sharma, and Tanisha Mehta among others.
