EXCLUSIVE! Taali Actress Sheetal Kale Says 'Working With Director Ravi Jadhav Was A Big Opportunity For Me'

Taali OTT: Actress Sheetal Kale, who made her OTT Debut with the series- Taali, a biopic of transgender activist Shree Gauri Sawant, showcased her exceptional talent through her role in the groundbreaking series. I have to say that I am in awe of Sheetal as she delivered an impressive performance.

I had a blast while talking to the talented actress. The web show which has been receiving an incredible response, has been directed by Ravi Jadhav, a national award-winning director. In an exclusive tete-tete with Filmibeat, Sheetal talked about her character and shared her working experience with a renowned director.

When asked what prompted her to take up the character in the series, Sheetal proudly said, "I play Nargis, a transgender who is supremely bold, loving and caring. My character plays an important role in the storyline and in the life of Shree Gauri Sawant aka Sushmita Sen. I inserted my inner self to bring Nargis to life and make her realistic on-screen."

Sharing her working experience with national award-winning director Ravi Jadhav, Sheetal quipped "Working with Ravi Sir was a big opportunity for me. Needless to say, he is a great director and the kind of human being you can feel lucky to work with. He has helmed so many projects with unusual storylines and his work speaks volumes."

"I must say, he has the ability to bring the best out of everything. Before we started the shoot, he explained the scenes very well and I caught the things he expected me to deliver in the scene. His support has surely helped me sink my teeth into the role. He was pretty considerate and determined towards the work and I learned a lot from him," she added.

On the professional front, Sheetal has showcased her acting prowess in films. She stepped foot into the world with acting with Karma Kala Manch Theatre, Mumbai and later progressed to cinema with Atal Faisla 2018 and Jai Chhati Maa (2020). The tinsel town diva made her digital debut with Taali, which is available for viewing on JioCinema.
