Jubilee
The trailer for Amazon Prime's latest period series, Jubilee, was dropped a few days ago and garnered a lot of attention for its story. It narrates the time of the inception of the Hindi film industry, reflecting the growth of cinema in Bombay. It takes place in the golden era of Indian movies and features a group of characters who are chasing their dreams, desires, and love. The show provides a mix of thrills and poetry while following the risks they take and the challenges they face in the race to reach their dreams. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the show stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Aparshakti Khurana as the main leads. The series will be available for streaming on a major Amazon Prime Video from April 7.
Indian Matchmaking, Season 3
This reality series, helmed by Smriti Mundhra, has garnered a significant amount of attention and criticism from viewers. While it presents humorous and satirical undertones, the series primarily focuses on the real-life experiences of eligible Indians around the world searching for a suitable partner. Sima Taparia, a traditional matchmaker from Mumbai, enters the dating app world to assist them in finding love, emphasising the importance of compromise and adjustment. The show will be available on Netflix beginning April 21.
Tooth Pari: When Love Bites
Inspired by Twilight and The Vampire Diaries, Tooth Pari is an Indian adaptation of popular vampire-themed content. It centres around a love story between a human dentist and a vampire, with Shantanu Maheshwari and Tanya Maniktala in key roles. Tanya will be seen playing a rebellious vampire with a chipped tooth who falls in love with a timid dentist in Kolkata. However, their love story faces obstacles from both human and supernatural entities trying to keep them apart. Directed by Pratim D. Gupta, the show will premiere on April 20th on Netflix.
Citadel
Russo Brothers' highly anticipated American sci-fi thriller web series has already garnered enough eyeballs for its action-packed chase sequences and thriller. The story follows the lives of two top agents, Mason Kane (played by Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (played by Priyanka), who work for the global spy agency Citadel. Priyanka has described the stunts as being closely intertwined with the story. The series will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam and is scheduled to start streaming on April 28 on Amazon Prime.
