Indian Actor Vansh Luthra Plays A Sikh Mercenary In Action-Thriller Polish Film Soulcatcher On Netflix

Actor and producer Vansh Luthra, best known for his work in the film Destination Paradise on Disney Hotstar, is currently seen in action-thriller Polish film Soulcatcher on Netflix which released on August 2. Directed by Daniel Markowicz, it stars Piotr Witkowski, Jacek Koman, Jacek Poniedzialek, Mariusz Bonaszewski, Aleksandra Adamska, Sebastian Stankiewicz alongside Vansh Luthra.
Luthra stated, "I'm super thrilled as Soulcatcher is my first Polish film and also my first film where I have done my own stunts. It's going to be great to see how the audience reacts to the film and their responses."
Opening up about his character he mentions, "I play the role of a Sikh mercenary, who is the guiding force (spiritual force), the calm one who helps with mission. I am always by the side of my comrades and am there in case of any trouble. I had intense combat training, firearms training, as I had to play an elite soldier. I also worked out quite hard in the months before the film. I had a lot of action scenes and carry a gun in mostly all of the film. Also had to jump in a running aeroplane without any harness, which eventually flies after I jump into it. Did the take at least 7 times. Didn't shave or cut any hair from my body to play the Sikh role as truly as possible."
On quizzing about the language barrier Vansh tells, "Everyone on the set was very lovely and helpful. Whenever I was around everyone switched to English, even the director Daniel was very good with giving his directions. Otherwise luckily in the film I don't speak Polish, but only English. "
Giving insights about the film he stated, "This movie is an action ride. I think people who enjoy action movies will have a great time looking at the action scenes. Also, all action scenes are done by the actors themselves specially Piotr, Mateusz and me. There are some great explosions as well. I am sure this movie will be super fun to watch. The story revolves around a group of mercenaries who're trying to seize a savage killer machine from a rouge military contractor. The movie also shows the bond between these mercenaries and how they get close during the mission. They're ready to kill or be killed for each other."
Sharing about the hook point in the film for Indian audiences he mentions, "While playing this role it reminded me quite a lot of the missions which we have been doing with our neighbouring country. So, for Indian audiences seeing a Sikh soldier part of a Polish crew might be exciting and also it might seem quite familiar as to what's happening around our country."
