Indian Matchmaking's Pradhyuman Maloo In Legal Trouble: Pradhyuman Maloo, known for his appearance on the popular Netflix series Indian Matchmaking, finds himself in legal trouble as his wife, Ashima Chauhaan, has filed an FIR accusing him of domestic violence and emotional abuse.

Pradhyuman, a 33-year-old jewelry designer hailing from Mumbai, became a well-known face after his unconventional approach to matchmaking was highlighted on the show. Claiming to have turned down 150 potential matches by matchmaker Sima Taparia, he eventually met Ashima Chauhaan off-screen.

The FIR lodged with the Mumbai police alleges that Ashima Chauhaan faced both physical and emotional abuse during her time with Pradhyuman Maloo. According to reports from Hindustan Times, the couple tied the knot in February 2022, but their marriage hit a rocky road shortly thereafter.

Ashima's legal representative, Anmol Bartaria, was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times, "The allegations with FIR lodged are grave and concerning with domestic violence and constant mental, physical abuse at its core. The matter is in the investigative stage and should be carried in full swing. Ashima is in the process of taking appropriate legal proceedings against the accused in accordance with the law."

He even informed the portal that Ashima is currently in Bengaluru with her family, trying to recover from the trauma.

During his time in Indian Matchmaking, Pradhyuman was introduced to model Rushali Rai by the show's matchmaker Sima.

While the match didn't lead to a lasting connection, Rushali Rai expressed surprise upon hearing about the allegations against Pradhyuman. "He doesn't seem like that person. I heard that they are breaking up but didn't know about domestic violence. As far as I've known him, this can't be true," Rushali Rai commented.

On the professional front, Ashima Chauhaan, a model and actor, appeared on shows like MTV Love School and Ace of Space before her marriage to Pradhyuman.
