According to several media reports, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer vigilante action drama movie will stream on OTT giant Netflix. The film's satellite rights, including its digital, satellite, and music rights, have been acquired for Rs 250 crore.

The film is still running in theatres but is expected to be ousted after Salman Khan's Tiger 3 hits theatres on November 12.

After enjoying uninterrupted play at the box office for almost over a month, Jawan is finally releasing on the online streaming platform Netflix. And there is a special connection to its release date.

As per a report by English Jagran, Jawan will have its OTT debut on Shah Rukh's birthday, which falls on November 2. What could be bigger than this?

Talking about Jawan's box office collection, the film emerged as Shah Rukh Khan's biggest-earning movie of his career and the highest-grossing Hindi film. It earned a staggering Rs 75 crore on its first day of release and recorded approximately Rs 1146 crores worldwide. The film also became the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

About Jawan

The film's synopsis reads, "A man is driven by a personal vendetta to rectify the wrongs in society, while keeping a promise made years ago. He comes up against a monstrous outlaw with no fear, who has caused extreme suffering to many."

It marked the maiden collaboration between SRK, Atlee, and Nayanthara, who made their Bollywood debut. The film also had Deepika Padukone in an extended cameo and Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Vijay Sethupathi, Riddhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, and others.
