Fans have been eagerly waiting for The Trial ever since the trailer was released. Kajol is seen in a different avatar in Disney+Hotstar's new web show. The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress is playing the role of a lawyer Noyonika Sengupta, who decides to return to law film after 10 years to provide support to her loved ones after her husband is imprisoned.

Both critics and Twitterati have praised Kajol for her impressive performance in her second web project. They have lauded the Dilwale Dulhania star for playing a 'hatke' role on OTT, stating that she was 'tailor-made' for the character.

She locked lips with Alyy Khan and Jisshu Sengupta for the web series, creating ripples on the screen with her kissing scenes. The scenes went viral on the internet after The Trial was released on OTT. For the unversed, she has kissed Akshay Kumar earlier for a film.

Kajol had two kissing scenes with her on-screen boyfriend Alyy Khan and on-screen husband Jisshu Sengupta in the much-awaited series. Fans lauded the actress and the director for aesthetically shooting the sequence, mentioning that it turned out well.

The Trial is available for viewing on Disney+Hotstar. The series, which has been directed by Supern Verma, premiered on Friday (July 14) on the leading streaming platform. The Trial, an adaptation of The Good Wife, featured an impressive star cast in the form of Kajol, Jisshu Sengupta, Kubbra Sait, Alyy Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Gaurav Pandey, Aamir Ali.
