In the upcoming episode of KWK Season 8, the host, KJo will be seen discussing his past disagreements with his closet industry friends, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kajol. He will be seen divulging the details of their conflicts and eventual reconciliations.

Karan Johar candidly spoke of his differences with Kareena Kapoor Khan, disclosing that in 2003, they went for an entire year and a half without speaking to each other. The cause of this estrangement was the film, 'Kal Ho Na Ho.'

Their silence went on until a family tragedy struck and Karan's father was diagnosed with cancer. This prompted Kareena to extend an olive branch and reach out to him. Karan Johar shared, "She was like I don't know what to say, I said, don't say anything, I know you are there. When he passed away, she was in Bangkok, we still had not mended, and the point she landed from her shoot, she came home. We spent all night just chatting. We went back to where we were. When we fought, I said I was never going to speak with her again. "

Karan then spoke about his fight with Kajol in subsequent years which was an "emotional bond". He mentioned that when they drifted apart, he feared that their relationship would never be the same. However, destiny had other plans, and both of them coincidentally reconnected. Karan even reached out to Kajol when his children were born, despite two years of silence between them. He sent her pictures of his children, Yash and Roohi, saying,"I said you don't need to reply but these are what my children look like - Yash and Roohi. She messaged back and she said, I am just full of love right now. Month later, she said it's my birthday, you don't have to come but I went. We hugged, we cried and it was done."
