Lock Upp 2: Is Munawar Faruqui Stepping Into Karan Kundrra’s Shoes As New Jailer? Says ‘No One Can…’

Lock Upp 2 Update: Ekta Kapoor'controversial reality show Lock Upp garnered a lot of attention with the outstanding success of its first season. The jail-themed reality show, hosted by Kangana Ranaut, and featuring Karan Kundrra as the jailor, won the hearts of millions.

The news of Lock Upp season 2, recently announced by Ekta Kapoor, has left the fans exhilarated. Since then, there has been much speculation regarding the launch date of the show and the identities of the contestants.

While the makers of Lock Upp 2 are said to be in talks with many well-known celebrities, there has been a constant buzz that Karan Kundrra might give the reality show's upcoming season a miss as he's currently busy working on Colors TV's Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal.

Later, the were rumours that Bigg Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik might replace him, however, the actress denied the claims. Now, there has been murmurs that former Lock Upp winner Munawar Faruqui might step into the shoes of Karan as the new jailor.

MUNAWAR NOT REPLACING KARAN KUNDRRA IN LOCK UPP 2

While Munawar's fans were elated with the reports, he finally reacted to it in a recent interview and denied the news. Yes, you read that right! He clearly stated that no one can replace Karan as the jailer of Lock Upp.

Talking to Tellychakkar, Munawar said, "No one can take the place of my brother Karan in the show. He is the best jailer. The second season is coming and I'm excited to watch it. If I were a part of the show, you would know.

MUNAWAR CONFIRMED TO PARTICIPATE IN KHATRON KE KHILADI 13?

Another reason behind Munawar's absence from Lock Upp 2 might be the much-awaited season of Rohit Shetty's Khatron Ke Khiladi. There have been strong speculations that Munawar is among the confirmed contestants for Khatron Ke Khiladi 13. However, an official announcement is still awaited from the makers.

The stunt-based reality show is slated to hit the floors in May end or June beginning in Argentina.
