Lock Upp 2 Update: The eagerly awaited second season of Ekta Kapoor's popular reality show Lock Upp is set to premiere shortly. Lock Upp 2 will see the return of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut as the host, while the makers are aiming to sign an interesting group of participants to make the controversial show even more enjoyable for its audience.

While there has been no official confirmation about any of the rumoured contestants, there has been a buzz that Karan Kundrra might not return as jailer in the upcoming season as he's currently busy with his Colors show Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal.

IS MUNAWAR FARUQUI REPLACING KARAN KUNDRRA AS JAILER IN LOCK UPP 2?

Amid the ongoing speculations, there were rumours that Rubina Dilaik might replace Karan as the menacing jailer in Lock Upp 2. However, the Bigg Boss 14 winner later denied the same.

Recently, at an event, former Lock Upp winner Munawar Faruqui was asked about him replacing Karan as jailer in the new season of the most talked-about reality show. Well, as expected, he denied it. Yes, you read that right! However, his final statement was a little confusing.

While talking to Tellychakkar, he said, "Mere bhai Karan ki jagah jailer pe toh koi le nahi sakta. So, I'm very excited, agar second season bhi aa raha hai toh I'm looking forward to watch it. Agar kuch hua toh aapko pata chal jaega."

WHEN WILL LOCK UPP 2 PREMIERE?

While the first season streamed on ALTBalaji and MXPlayer, there has been a buzz that the makers are trying to premiere Lock Upp 2 on TV. Also, there are speculations that the new season might air on ZEE TV. But, the team is yet to react.

Many well-known names have reportedly been approached to participate in Lock Upp 2. Divya Agarwal, Akash Dadlani, Emiway Bantai, Soundarya Sharma, and Umar Riaz are some of the celebrities who are said to be in talks with the makers. However, nothing is yet confirmed.
