The year 2023 is coming to an end and it is just a couple of days left for 2024 to take over. The fast running life has got us all quite occupied that we often miss out on cherishing simple things in life. And amid this bhaag daud, at times we all need that slice of comedy which makes you sit back, relax and give a simple and refreshing perspective to things around.

This is exactly what Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta have brought for the audience in their recent release Mast Mein Rehne Ka. Helmed by Vijay Maurya, the movie also stars Monica Panwar and Abhishek Chauhan in key roles along with Rakhi Sawant in a supporting role. The movie happens to be a sweet and heartwarming tale of love, life and giving yourself second chances.

The story revolves around two strangers played by Jackie and Neena who are completely opposite personalities. While Neena plays the role of a bindas, unabashed and unapologetic Punjabi woman Ms Handa, Jackie is seen playing the role of an introvert old man VS Kamath who finds it difficult to get along with people.

However, as life could have planned (or say the director's plan), their paths crossed and it changed their life and the perspective towards life. This happens after Mrs Handa's house gets robbed and VS Kamath turns out to be an alleged suspect.

As different personalities they can be, Mrs Handa and VS Kamath start finding solace in each other and give their otherwise boring life another chance and find their own little adventures including stealing into other people's houses.

As the elderly duo embarks on a new journey, Mast Mein Rehna Ka perfectly captures all the emotions of life and show two different perspectives of life. Neena Gupta sums it up perfectly in a dialogue saying, "Zindagi me do tarah ke chakkar hote hain - ek wo jo zindagi hum jeete hain aur doosra wo jo zindagi hume jeeti h, jo ab chal raha hai".

While Neena and Jackie's chemistry was on point, Monica and Abhishek managed to do justice to their respective roles will certainly win hearts. However, it was Rakhi Sawant who was cherry on the cake bringing the drama, fun and emotions in right quantity to the entertainment quotient.

Interestingly, director Vijay Maurya has managed to capture the struggle, victories and the pulse of the sapna ka shehar Mumbai quite beautifully. He has come up with this heartwarming tale which is serving as a reminder that life is a gift to be cherished and to be lived to the fullest irrespective of age and the hurdles. Overall, Mast Mein Rehne Ka is backed with stellar performance and a sweet story which will leave you with a smile and make you appreciate small things in life
