Masterchef India All Set To Break Ground With Its First-Ever ASMR Challenge; Know More About It Here

Masterchef India: The competition for MasterChef India is all set to reach a fever pitch as the show's top 12 contestants are leaving no spice unturned and no technique unexplored to prove their culinary talent.
Just as the stakes soar higher than ever, the judges will unleash an exciting twist that promises to elevate the competition to a new dimension.
What is the ASMR challenge?
In addition to the three customary parameters of taste, innovation, and presentation, the contestants will now have to incorporate the fourth pillar of gastronomy-the element of sound-into their dishes in the first-ever ASMR challenge on MasterChef India.
ASMR, the acronym for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is the tingling sensation that many people experience in response to specific visual or auditory triggers. Often described as a 'brain massage,' ASMR has taken the internet by storm, with millions of viewers tuning in to watch and listen to various triggers, including food sounds.
This trend has now found its way into the MasterChef India kitchen, challenging contestants to create dishes that not only tantalise the taste buds but also create a symphony of sounds.
In this ASMR challenge, contestants will explore a myriad of food sounds, transforming the act of cooking and plating into an art form. As they present their dishes to the judges, they must also eloquently explain the sound elements that have been incorporated, adding a layer of complexity to their culinary craftsmanship.
Towards the end of the challenge, two contestants who do not meet the expectations will receive the black apron as part of the first elimination round on MasterChef India.
Expressing his excitement about this innovative challenge, Chef Vikas Khanna says, "The world is changing, and technology has become integral to our culinary experiences. Sound, especially in the form of ASMR, has added a new layer to how we perceive food. Understanding texture is fundamental for any chef, and incorporating sound takes it to a whole new level. It will be fascinating to see how each contestant utilises this unique aspect."
Chef Ranveer Brar, highlighting the essence of the challenge, adds, "We often ignore the sounds of food when we eat. However, sound is an essential part of the culinary experience, evoking joy and excitement. This challenge is all about discovering joy through the diverse sounds of food. Contestants will have the opportunity to infuse life into their creations. Every snap, crunch, and slurp will add a layer of liveliness to this challenge."
With its illustrious trio of Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Ranveer Brar, and Chef Pooja Dhingra at the helm, MasterChef India continues to push the boundaries of culinary excellence. This season, the show goes digitally exclusive on Sony LIV, providing viewers with an immersive experience like never before.
With the addition of the ASMR challenge, this season of MasterChef India promises to be an unforgettable journey filled with innovation, creativity, and, now, the tempting sounds of the kitchen.
