Misfits: Actors Kunal Roy Kapur, Taha Shah Badussha Team Up For India's Very Own Friendship Series

Misfits: Ramesh Sippy Entertainment is bringing to screen India's original and very own sitcom, which will be based on the story of three friends living together. The upcoming Rohan Sippy directorial web series has been titled Misfits. Kunal Roy Kapoor, Taha Shah Badussha, and Chandan Roy have been roped in to play the leads in the series.

Misfits will revolve around the story of three friends from different walks of life, promising a dose of fun entertainment, and emotions. The show draws parallels to international hits like Friends and How I Met Your Mother.

Earlier, there have been several films and series made on trio friendship groups; one of the most popular franchises is Pyaar Ka Punchnama. However, it would be the first time that a show is centred around three male protagonists and their lives.

A source close to the development of the web series said, "The show is currently in post production stage and is expected to release later this year. It is a story of three men from different walks of life turning roommates due to certain situations. Unfolding the hilarious turn of events, Misfits is a light-hearted, slice of life, Indian sitcom offering a breath of fresh air."

Actor Kunal Roy Kapur, is known for playing entertaining performances and unique characters across platforms and mediums. He is popular for films like Delhi Belly and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, among others. Meanwhile, Kunal is also known for being a part of successful shows like TVF Tripling, Bandish Bandits, and others.

On the other hand, Taha Shah Badussha, who was last seen in the Zee5 periodical drama show Taj: Divided By Blood, will be playing a totally different avatar in Misfits, along with Chandan Roy of Panchayat fame. Roy recently had a small role in the Disney +Hotstar original movie Gulmohar, which starred Sharmila Tagore and Manoj Bajpayee.
