Citadel Review: Priyanka Chopra-Richard Madden Shine Bright In This Fast-paced Spy Thriller

Citadel Review: Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden-starrer has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled. But is the action thriller worth a watch? Yes, it is. Amazon Prime Video's latest series is worth all your time as it will take you on a roller coaster ride filled with drama, suspense, thrill.
I couldn't help but gush over the grandeur of the thriller as the creators have left no stone unturned to mount it on a lavish scale. When Russo brothers are part of any project, you can expect a masterpiece, isn't it?
Amazon Prime Video has released two episodes of the six-episode first season and boy oh boy, we are spell bound. If you are a fan of action-based drama, you are going to simply love Citadel. Be it the high-octane action sequences or the twists and turns, Citadel is a fast-paced drama that will keep you on the edge of your seats.
CITADEL REVIEW: WHAT'S THE STORY ALL ABOUT?
Who doesn't love a battle between good and the bad? Well, Citadel offers something different on the platter as it focuses on two agents, who are part of a global spy agency, which no longer boasts of amazing agents and functions the way it did earlier. Can Nadia Sinh and Mason Kane turn out to be the shining stars of Citadel? Well, it's not as easy as it sounds.
Citadel's fall has made the ever-blossoming crime syndicate more powerful. It's time for clash of the titans as Manticore has destroyed Citadel but the agency is ready to bounce back and only two agents can play a big role in it.
However, there's a big twist in tale. Both Mason and Nadia don't remember anything that happened in the past. They are busy living life in new identities, not remembering an iota of their memories.
Fast forward, Bernard Orlick managed to find Mason, requesting him to go under cover and help in tackling Manticore. The story gained paced when Mason and Nadia joined hands, undertaking a mission to lock horns with the dangerous Manticore.
CITADEL: ACTING REVIEW
Bow down to the queen as she has ruled the roost in Citadel. Of course, we are talking about Priyanka Chopra. From pulling off heavy-duty action scenes with ease to sizzling in a red hot dress and enchanting the audience with her charm, PeeCee another feather to her cap.
She essayed the role of Nadia with perfection, showcasing her acting chops and making me clap for her louder. Nadia and Mason's sexual tension is easily visible in their scene, making me wonder if they dated each other? Did the two spies have a fling, which they don't recount anymore? Piggy Chops packed a solid punch as a spy, giving us major vibes of 007 style agent.
Richard Mason is the icing on the cake as he showcased his immense talent in the action and emotional scenes. Interestingly, there were times when Priyanka's character saved Mason in the show. Priyanka Chopra Jonas definitely knows how to throw in a punch or two.
Our dear Priyanka, we have to say- 'All the blood, sweat and hard work was worth the effort'.
CONCLUSION
The first two episodes of Citadel will not only pump up your adrenaline but also keep you invested till the last minute. The two episodes set the mood for the rest of the series, leaving you excited. The action sequences are top notch and the storyline is intriguing. Add to it, the impeccable performances of the lead artists. Overall, Citadel makes for a perfect weekend binge.
And yes, our Desi Girl has slayed it like a true boss lady. We won't be surprised if you pause the screen for a minute and just gush over her acting prowess.
