Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo Star Isha Talwar On Working With Homi Adajania: I Auditioned With Him 8 Years Ago…

OTT News: Isha Talwar is extremely thrilled with the response to her latest series Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo. Not just because it is a female-oriented show but also because her co-star is, the legendary Dimple Kapadia, who she has always admired.

The series also ticks another checkbox of working with the director Homi Adajania. Being a fan of most of his work, Isha had always aspired to work with him in his projects.

Talking about her experience of working with the filmmaker, Isha revealed that she had also auditioned with him eight years ago, however, the project failed to take off back then.

The actress says, "There is something very nice about working with Homi, he is definitely more intuitive than most directors I've had an opportunity to work with. I remember when we were shooting the big family sequence where Bijilee is doing some major 1000 crore maths, she made my maths better, Homi just left the monitor and came and sat in the room which for me was very refreshing."

She added, "Even when I auditioned with Homi 8 years ago for a project that did not take off, he personally came for the audition and was my co-actor. That's when I knew I had to work with Homi someday and what better opportunity than Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo".

For the unversed, Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo is a crime drama that revolves around the Rani Cooperative (a cocaine-making factory that pretends to make handicrafts and herbs).

The series also stars Dimple Kapadia, Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar, Deepak Dobriyal, Monica Dogra and Naseerudin Shah in prominent roles. Isha plays the role of Bijilee, aka Badi Bahu. The show is out on Disney+ Hotstar.
