Sam Bahadur OTT: Vicky Kaushal's most-awaited movie, Sam Bahadur, will open to theatres on Friday, December 1. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the war drama movie is a biopic based on India's first field marshal, Sam Manekshaw.

Vicky will be seen in the titular role, which also features Sanya Malhotra as Vicky's wife, Silloo Manekshaw, and Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. According to OTTPlay, the movie has been filmed with a budget of ₹55 crore.

As fans eagerly wait to watch the movie in theatres this Friday, it has been reported by Prabhat Khabar that the film's digital rights have been sold to OTT platform Zee5. However, the streaming date and time have not been revealed.

A report by Tellychkar revealed that Vicky has been paid Rs 10 crore for playing Sam, while Fatima Sana Shaikh has been paid Rs 1 crore for her role.

On the other hand, Sam Bahadur will be clashing at the box office with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. It has made around ₹1.81 crore, and about 57,888 tickets have been sold for the first day. Sam Bahadur will hit over 3,000 screens.

On the other hand, Animal will have 12,500 shows in the whole country. It has collected ₹19.7 crore from all the tickets sold, which is nearly Rs 7.46 lakh in total.

He said, "When two opening batsmen come to the crease, playing for the same team, you won't say that the two batsmen are clashing with each other, they are playing for a single team, so we are playing for Hindi cinema."
