The Freelancer: Here’s How Mohit Raina Powered Through The Pain Despite Injury

The versatile performer Mohit Raina who will be next seen in the upcoming Hotstar Specials' 'The Freelancer' essays the role of Avinash Kamath - an Indian mercenary on a rescue mission to save a girl from war-torn Syria. While the show's trailer is out and fans are looking forward to seeing the actor in a unique role in the high-scale thriller, it was learnt that Mohit Raina had injured himself during the filming of the show.

Talking about the same Mohit Raina said, "Amidst the bustling Mumbai schedule of 'The Freelancer,' I encountered a knee injury that undeniably brought its own set of challenges. As actors, we often navigate circumstances beyond our control, and in those moments, it's imperative to make the most of them while honoring the time and dedication invested by the entire team. The unwavering support of the entire crew played a pivotal role, enabling us to successfully wrap up the shoot."

Created by Neeraj Pandey and directed by Bhav Dhulia, the show is set to release on September 1, 2023, on Disney+ Hotstar. 'The show's cast also includes veteran actor Anupam Kher, Kashmira Pardeshi, Sushant Singh, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji and Navneet Malik in key roles.
