The Trial Actress Nancy Gill Recalls How Kajol Shot Despite High Fever One Day Which Left Her Impressed

The Trial Update: Nancy Gill, a former air hostess who has ventured into acting, is set to portray the role of a lawyer in the Indian adaptation of the renowned American legal TV series, The Good Wife, titled The Trial. Helmed by director Suparn S Varma, it features Kajol Devgn as the protagonist and is set to release on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Hailing from Chandigarh, Nancy has previously been part of TV shows like Chidiyaghar, web series including Criminal Justice 3 last year, and many ad films. The actress recently got candid about her role in this series and working experience with Kajol.

Nancy said, "I am very excited for the release as firstly, I am playing a lawyer for the first time and it has always excited me because whenever I would watch cinema, I would get very enthralled watching courtroom scenes, the intelligence and intensity with which lawyers make arguments and now finally I get to play one, so eagerly looking forward to it."

Recalling an incident with Kajol that left her impressed, she reveals, "I recall her being very sick and running a high fever one day and still being on the shoot, not telling anyone and coming for the shoot really made me all the more respect her as an actor because I already was a fan of her from childhood and had a big poster of her on my room which I told her on the first day of the shoot."

Describing her working experience with director Suparn S Varma she says, "He was very relaxed and fun-loving and kept amazingly high and vibrant energy on the set. With regards to briefing, he trusts you and lends enough liberty to take up the reins of your character, however, if during the shoot he thinks it isn't working he would just come and tell you to try another way."

Speaking about the show she said, "It's a very interesting and intriguing court drama, so everything from good star cast, sets and captivating different stories, the viewers will have a great time watching it. The show is made with a very well-researched team and the actors pulled the characters and story with utmost honesty. Can't wait for it to come out."
