The Trial Twitter Review: Bollywood actress Kajol's most anticipated digital debut, Trial - Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha, was released last night. Helmed by Suparn S. Varma, the courtroom drama, is an official remake of CBS iconic series The Good Wife.

Kajol plays Noyonika Sengupta, a fierce lawyer and a dedicated housewife who, after 13 years, returns to work as her husband, played by Jisshu Sengupta, gets imprisoned. She now has the task of rebuilding her life and resuming her career as a lawyer to support her family.

Noyonika, apart from tackling intricate cases and grappling with ethical quandaries, must also confront her own personal demons. In addition to the demands of motherhood, Noyonika must find a balance between her complex marriage and her pursuit of justice.

Fans call Kajol's performance in The Trial powerful

Soon, after watching Kajol's The Trail, netzines took to microblogging site Twitter and shared their opinion on her debut OTT show. Although many were disappointed with the storyline, some defended it and praised the show, calling Kajol a powerhouse of a performer.

A user shared his displeasure over the show and tweeted, "Court cases are won and investigations are completed faster than Maggi is made, by an intern who resumes law practice after 13 long years, and yet, somehow wins all her cases, something even a pro lawyer would find hard, in this disaster of a series."

Another wrote, "The Trial series is made with only one goal - to defame the men please Stop this woke feminism #TheTrial #Feminism #wokefeminism."

But a few fans hailed Kajol's performance and stated that they enjoyed watching the show. One of the fans said,
