Actress Geetanshi Lamba Shares A Fake Casting Incident, Says, “It Took Me A Few Days To Figure Out "

Fake castings have always existed in this industry and often aspiring actors fall prey to the tactics of fraudsters. Many actors have shared their fake casting encounters and now actress Geetanshi Lamba, who was last seen in the film- Mission Raniganj, looked back at the time when she came across a person who sent her inappropriate questions before the auditions.

Sharing the incident, Geetanshi says,"It happened when I was new in the industry and didn't know much about the working procedures. I was in search of work those days and one day I came across a post on Instagram where they were looking for actors of my age. So, I dropped a DM on their page, and they asked for my contact number and me, being unaware of their intentions, gave them my contact. Post that, they sent me a list of questions that I needed to answer before the audition, but when I saw the questions I was in shock because they seemed very inappropriate and creepy. He kept giving me reminders to answer the questions, but I didn't reply to him. It took me a few days to figure out that he was a conman."

Geetanshi further adds,"I was in shock after sensing his fishy intentions. Post that, I blocked him, but it could be scary if I had trusted him. It is very easy to get caught in this kind of scam as not many are aware of fake people. It was really wrong that someone was trying to trap people claiming to be someone else."

Giving a piece of advice to the aspiring actors, Geetanshi says, "My advice to every newcomer and aspiring actor is to be very cautious and alert while contacting someone for work and never pay money to an unknown person who promises you to give work because in this industry only hard work and patience can help you out, nothing else."
