Asian Academy Awards 2024 Winners (Nominations): Netflix India Shines With 14 National Wins - DEETS

Asian Academy Awards 2024 Update: Netflix has made a stunning impact at this year's prestigious Asian Academy Creative Awards, with 14 National Wins [Nominations] by four Original titles across categories. The National winners will further go on to represent India and compete in the Grand Awards, across the APAC region, in December 2024.
The gripping docuseries The Hunt for Veerappan, has been nominated in categories including Best Direction (Non-Fiction), Best Cinematography (Non-Fiction), Best Documentary, and Best Theme Song. This year, Amar Singh Chamkila has received multiple nominations and wins, including Best Feature Film (Fiction), Best Direction (Fiction) for Imtiaz Ali, Best Editing for Aarti Bajaj, and Best Sound for Dhiman Karmakar. In addition, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has garnered nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Manisha Koirala's stellar performance, Best Cinematography (Fiction), and Best VFX. Meanwhile, The Railway Men has also earned top National wins and nominations, with Kay Kay Menon in the running for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Aayush Gupta nominated for Best Screenplay. In the category for Best Children's Programme, Mighty Bheem's Playtime - Class Picnic has been nominated.
