While several Pakistani actors have managed to carve a niche in India, among these is Fawad Khan who is quite popular here and is all over the headlines for his recently released show Barzakh. The Pakistani drama has been one of the most talked about releases of the year and also features Sanam Saeed and Salman Shahid in the lead. After resting immense buzz in the town, Barzakh had premiered on July 19.

Directed by Asim Abbasi, Barzakh addresses mental health, postpartum depression, generational trauma, and gender inclusivity. The series gave a glimpse of a 76-year-old man who wants to marry the ghost of his long dead first love. The series also features Fawad Khan as Shehryar and Sanam Saeed as Scheherezade and also stars Faiza Gillani, Eman Suleman, Khusshal Khan, Muhammad Shah and Faiza Gillani in supporting roles. The series opened to decent response and fans have been in awe of Fawad and Sanam's reunion after 12 years of Zindagi Gulzar Hai.

To note, Barzakh Episode 3 will be releasing on July 23 and will premiere on Zee5 and Zee Zindagi YouTube channel in India. Wondering at what time will the second episode of Barzakh premiere? Meanwhile, Fawad has been all praises for director Asim Abbasi and said that it was love for him the moment he had read the script of Barzakh. "I'm always interested in family dramas when they are told in such a realistic fashion but the twist in this one was the magic surrealism and the supernatural aspect, which attracted me to it even more," the actor was stated

Interestingly, as Barzakh marks Fawad and Sanam's reunion after 12 years, the duo has two more projects lined up for Sony LIV and Netflix respectively. The duo is hopeful their onscreen chemistry will once again win the audience's hearts.
