Bridgerton Season 4 Cast: Meet 'Sophie'; Benedict Bridgerton's Love Interest

It's official! On Wednesday evening (September 11), Netflix took to the social media and introduced 'Sophie' - Benedict Bridgerton's love interest - to the world. Welcoming the actress into the Regency-era of the Netflix show 'Bridgerton', the makers wrote, "Dearest Gentle Reader, as preparations for the next social season are almost underway, we request a warm welcome to the newest member of the Ton....Presenting Yerin Ha as Sophie in Bridgerton Season 4!"

As per Julia Quinn's book (the book which the Netflix period-drama has been adapted from), Sophie is an earl's illegitimate daughter who lives with an 'evil' stepmother. One day, she attends one of Lady Violet Bridgerton's masquerade ball in disguise and meets Benedict as the 'Lady in Silver'.

Bridgerton Season 4 Female Lead name, Pics: Who Is Yerin Ha?

Born in Sydney in 1995 to Korean parents, Yerin Ha is an Australian actress who is widely known for her roles in the Paramount+ series 'Halo' and the Stan miniseries 'Bad Behaviour' (2023). The 29-year-old actress will be seen in HBO's upcoming Dune prequel series, Dune: Prophecy.

Yerin Ha's grandmother, Son Sook, is an Korean actress and a politician. Taking about her character to Netflix's Tudum, Ha stated, "What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles - something that she constantly has to overcome."

Both Yerin Ha and Luke Thompson are already in rehearsals for the Bridgerton 4. "Whether it's this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict," she added.
