Developed by Diane Ademu-John and Alison Schapker, Dune: Prophecy is an upcoming American science-fiction Television series serves as a prequel series to the record-breaking 021 film 'Dune'. The 6-episode series will showcase the events which took place somewhere 10,000 years before the events of the movie. The show will explore the origins of the mysterious Bene Gesserit sisterhood.

Starring Emily Watson as 'Valya Harkonnen' and Olivia Williams as 'Tula Harkonnen', National Award-winning Indian actress Tabu has joined the epic cast of the sci-fi saga as 'Sister Francesca'. Back in August, the makers had dropped the first look of the actress which left everyone gushing over her character.

The official synopsis of the show reads, "From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson."

The highly-anticipated HBO Original series 'Dune: Prophecy' is all set to premiere on HBO and Mx on 17th November 2024. Wondering when will it release in India? The first episode of Tabu's show is scheduled to premiere online on JioCinema Premium on November 18 (Monday) at 6:30 am (IST).

The episodes (total 6) will stream on the said OTT app on a weekly basis in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Kannada and Marathi languages.
