Eric OTT Release: If you are a fan of psychological thrillers, then Netflix is coming up with a special treat for you. We are talking about the release of Eric. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Ivan Morris Howe, Gaby Hoffmann, McKinley Belcher III, Roberta Colindrez, Jeff Hephner etc in the lead, the British psychological thriller is directed by Lucy Forbes while Abi Morgan has penned the script. To note, it happens to be a six part series.

To note, Eric is set in 1980 and revolves around a man named Vincent (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) whose nine-year-old son Edgar goes missing. Though he works as a puppeteer, his volatile behaviour distances him from family and friends. Amid this, Vincent is convinced that his seven-foot-tall puppet Eric can help him reunite with Edgar

Eric Release Time On Netflix

From the teaser to trailer, everything about Eric has managed to create a massive buzz in the town. And while fans have been eagerly waiting for the film's release, it is reported that Eric will be releasing on Netflix on May 30, 2024. To note, the series will premiere at around 1:30 PM IST on Netflix today.

Meanwhile, talking about his character and the series, Cumberbatch told RadioTimes.com, "To voice him was just a joy, to just play with it in post [production] as much as we could. Experiment with how present he is, how much of a shadow or shadow-self he is, for want of a better term. You know, just out of shot, a voice or a presence. And it was one of the biggest draws to doing the character, to doing the role, to being part of this drama. But also, it still fills me with fear. I don't know how people are going to respond to it. It's nice to roll the dice on something new".
