As the story progresses, Divya's facades slowly disappear, making way for further complexities in the story.

Kang Hyun is the first female team leader in the violent crimes department, and brings to the table her excellent investigation skills, a strong sense of responsibility and a no-nonsense attitude. Flex X Cop shows two polar opposites Kang Hyun and Yi Soo forming an unlikely and bantering alliance to solve a range of confounding cases, all while keeping the former's role in the investigative sphere as non-negotiable.

Inspector Regina Thomas (Sriya Reddy) is a tough cop in this small town- dedicated to her job, but disillusioned and frustrated by the corruption in her line of work. As a seasoned detective, she immediately hops onto the case to discover shocking truths which might shatter her beliefs about her own family, and stances. Regina is a perfect combination of strength and vulnerability which provides authenticity and humanness to her job as a cop.

5) Mare of Easttown

This HBO series is about a detective sergeant Marianne 'Mare' Sheehan (Kate Winslet) in the fictional suburb of Easttown, Pennsylvania. Mare has to investigate the murder of a teenage mother Erin McMenamin, which forms the central plot of the series. While she is dealing with her personal issues, her professional reputation is in jeopardy due to an unsolved case of a missing girl which haunts her to this date. Mare comes off as a tenacious detective embodying resilience and determination in face of her personal turmoil, but never letting her professional competence decline. Mare is an authentic character with depth, which brings in a sense if maturity to her role as a detective.
