Written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, the Japanese live-action film marks the 33rd Japanese language Godzilla film and the 37th installment in the franchise overall. Amid much anticipation, 'Godzilla Minus One' arrived in theatres in Japan in November 2023. The film had released in the US on 1st December last year.

Set in the post World War II world in Japan, the film follows the story of kamikazi pilot suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after encountering the giant monster 'Godzilla'.

The movie stars Ryunosuke Kamiki as Kōichi Shikishima, Minami Hamabe as Noriko Ōishi, Yuki Yamada as Shirō Mizushima along with Ryunosuke Kamiki, Munetaka Aoki, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Sakura Ando and Kuranosuke Sasaki in important roles.

After a long wait for nearly six months, 'Godzilla Minus One' is now finally streaming on Netflix. The film is available in Japanese language along with a dubbed version in English, Hindi, Tamil and other languages.
