Exclusive! Heeramandi Actor Adhyayan Suman Reveals Why Sanjay Leela Bhansali Cried And Hugged Him

Heeramandi: Adhyayan Suman plays a double role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's series which has started streaming on Netflix. The actor portrays the character of Zorawar and Zulfikar, and the latter is actually the younger version of the role that his father Shekhar Suman portrays. Filmibeat recently interacted with Adhyayan, and the actor revealed that during one of the scenes, SLB cried and hugged him.

When asked him about being a part of such a grand project which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Adhyayan said, "It feels like a dream, and for every actor it's in the bucket list that he gets a chance to work with Sanjay sir. People don't get a chance to play one character, and here I am playing two pivotal roles, so I am grateful to sir, Shruti Mahajan (casting director), and of course my parents. Just to be a part of that world is a big thing for me. I can't wait for the world to see the show."

The actor has a very intense scene with Manisha Koirala in the series, and while talking about it, he said, "It's a one take and it's probably like a 10 minutes scene. So, it was 1 take okay! Sanjay sir cried and hugged me, he called my dad and spoke to him. It's a very difficult scene to do because the graph of Zorawar changes from there. It was a surreal moment for me because I felt like what is happening."

"Usually, you would have to give about 50 retakes in a scene this difficult. It's one of the most important scenes of the show; a lot of threads are opened in it. It's very intriguing and exciting, and I can't wait for the world to watch that scene because that scene sir (Bhansali) shows it to everyone, and talks about it to other actors he has been working with," the actor added.

Heeramandi is getting mixed reviews from the critics and audiences. While talking about Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman, Filmibeat's reviewer wrote, "Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman also leave a strong mark with their performances, especially the latter as he plays a double role with perfection."
