Exclusive! Rajat Kaul On Heeramandi Season 2, "If Someone Wants To Make Something On Iqbal & Saima..."

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi premiered a month ago, but clearly, it is still the talk of the town for various reasons. While songs are trending reels, a lot of people are speculating what can be the storyline of the series if season 2 is made. Also, everyone is also keen to know what happens with Iqbal and Saima further in the series. Filmibeat recently interacted with Rajat Kaul who plays the role of Iqbal in the show.

A few days ago, when there was a success meet of the series, Sanjay Leela Bhansali had jokingly said that in season 2 he will show about Iqbal and Saima's love story. So, when we asked Rajat if Sanjay sir or someone else from the team has spoken to him about the series, the actor said, "As much as we want second season to happen, that will be a call of Netflix and makers. But, I feel it has been completed properly. In my heart, I want that it should be there because for Saima and Iqbal, it is like Heer-Ranjha, Soni-Mahiwal, Laila-Majnu; the incomplete love story. So, if someone wants to make something separately on them, I won't mind (laughs)."

"But, for me, Heeramandi as a series is complete. The whole idea was to show about how we had this rich culture and how it was destroyed by external forces, the Britishers, and it captures it quite well. The way scenes have been choregraphed and planned, that's something really amazing about Sanjay sir," he added.

Well, now, only Netflix or Sanjay Leela Bhansali can tell us whether season 2 of Heeramandi is happening, or it is actually an end for the show. Let's wait and watch.
