After mythological drama and romantic drama, the upcoming Hoichoi original series 'Kaalratri' is an intriguing family crime-drama that promises to keep you hooked at the edge-of-your-seat.

Written and directed by Ayan Chakaborti, the highly-anticipated 'Kaalratri' marks the debut series of the popular Television actress Soumitrisha. In the Hoichoi show, the 'Mithai' actress plays the role of a newly-wed bride named 'Debi' who discovers that her husband has been murdered at their mansion on their first night.

Besides Soumitrisha, the show also stars Indrasish Roy as Debi's husband 'Rudra', Rajdeep Gupta as her brother-in-law 'Ajitesh', Sairity Banerjee as 'Rai', Rupanjana Mitra as Debi's mother-in-law alongside Debesh Chattopadhyay, Sounak Roy, Anujoy Chattopadhyay and Sampurna Mondal among others.

As per Hpichoi's official synopsis, the logline of 'Kaalratri' reads, "On her wedding day, Devi fears her friend's chilling prediction of her husband's imminent death.
