While discussing his previous profession as a lawyer and how he could apply his experience in 'Illegal,' Satyadeep shares, "I have spent time in the courtroom environment. Although I worked in commercial law and this series revolves around criminal cases, the ideal presence in court has become a habit for me. Hence, it felt more natural for me to portray the part. I was happy to assist my co-stars during the shoot and am pleased that my experience could be of use. I also engaged in extensive study, revisiting my books to ensure I did a better job."

He further continues, "I feel my character's story has been highlighted a lot in this new season. Puneet's journey as a lawyer and his personal life has been properly shown which gives a good depth to the character."
