In the film, Junaid Khan plays the role of a fearless journalist and a social reformer, while Jaideep is seen a powerful devotee.

After facing a rocky roadblock, Maharaj finally had its OTT premiere today (June 21) on Netflix. The Gujarat High Court has granted a clean chit to film claiming that the film doesn't hurt religious sentiments. Viewers can stream the film now on Netflix.

The film was initially scheduled to have a direct-to-digital premiere on Netflix on 14th June.

However, the Gujarat High Court stayed the release of Aamir's son Junaid's debut film after a group of devotees of Lord Krishna filed a plea claiming that the movie could incite violence and also accused it of "disrespecting" Sanatan Dharma.
