Maidaan OTT Release Date, Platform: Ajay Devgn Film Crosses Rs 50 Cr. When Will It Premiere Online?

Maidaan OTT Release Date: Ajay Devgn's much-awaited film couldn't perform as per expectations but it has managed to cross the Rs 50-crore box at the box office. Despite being an Eid release and garnering strong word-of-the-mouth publicity, the sports drama couldn't set the cash registers jingly. While the trade experts have been disappointed with the box office performance, the film is still running successfully in the cinema halls.

MAIDAAN BOX OFFICE COLLECTION: FILM EARNS 50 CRORE

This weekend, Maidaan witnessed a growth and collected Rs 3.25 crore. The total box office collection of Maidaan stands at Rs 50.74 crore (net box office collection in India). Although the numbers have been below expectations, the flick has earned widespread appreciation from the audience.

Maidaan received support from different Football clubs as the film showcased the glorious journey of Syed Abdul Rahim, who is known for his contribution to Indian football. His story has garnered unwavering support on social media as critics and movie buffs have praised the presentation of the movie.

Bollywood critic and trade analsyt Taran Adarsh shared the latest box office collection of Maidaan. He tweeted, "#Maidaan crosses ₹ 50 cr mark... Absence of major film/s this summer has proved beneficial, but the overall total remains dismal since there's a heavy price tag attached to it."

Adarsh mentioned that lack of releases of major films turned out to be beneficial for Maidaan. He posted the week-wise box office collection of Maidaan on his X handle.

WHEN WILL MAIDAAN PREMIERE ONLINE ON OTT?

After the theatrical release, fans are wondering when will Maidaan premiere on OTT. The production house has remained tight-lipped about the streaming platform which will premiere the movie.

Speculations are rife that ZEE5 has the exclusive streaming rights for Maidaan. However, there's no official confirmation about the same. If we take into account the 8-week window, the movie will beam on OTT platform in the first or second week of June.

Ajay Devgn's much-loved Shaitaan premiered online on Netflix on May 4, 2024. The horror drama is available for streaming on Netflix. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was available for download and streaming on Prime Video after the 8-week period.
