Maidaan OTT Release Date & Time: Ajay Devgn is one of the most talented actors in the country who is known for his phenomenal acting prowess. The year 2024 happens to be quite a happening one for Ajay as he had two big releases in the first half of 2024. Yes! After ruling the box office with his first release Shaitaan, Ajay came with a perfect Eid treat for the fans with Maidaan. Helmed by Amit Sharma, Maidaan was one of the most anticipated releases of the year and opened to rave reviews from the audience.

To note, Maidaan happens to be a biopic on Syed Abdul Rahim who was a pioneering football coach in India between 1952 and 1962. Also starring Priyamani and Gajraj Rao, Maidaan featured Ajay essaying Syed Abdul Rahim's role and the movie had won millions of hearts. In fact, despite a slow start at the box office, Maidaan went on make a lifetime collection of Rs 52.29 crores.

Given the rave reviews and the box office success of Maidaan, there have been speculations about the movie's OTT release. While there were reports about Maidaan having its OTT release in June, according to report published in Vogue, Maidaan will be releasing Amazon Prime Video On June 5. If the reports turned out to be true, Maidaan will premiere at midnight tonight.

Meanwhile, Amit Sharma has been all praises for Ajay Devgn and told PTI, "If a superstar has agreed to do a film, it's an advantage as the mounting of a film will become bigger. You'll be able to shoot the way you want to, and if the superstar is ready to give you everything while making the film, then it's icing on the cake. When Ajay Devgn used to enter the sets, he used to keep the Ajay Devgn persona outside, and enter like Syed Abdul Rahim, his character. He came prepped on sets with his dialogues. Not once he said, 'The trousers are loose, how am I looking?' He would be like, 'Tell me what you want me to do, I'll do it'. He is a director's actor"
