The new season sees Jitendra Kumar returning as Abhishek Tripathi, alongside Neena Gupta, Faisal Malik, and others in key roles. However, before the release of Panchayat 3, rumors swirled that Jitendra Kumar, who portrays Abhishek Tripathi aka Sachiv ji, had a fallout with the production house TVF due to disagreements and he might quit the Panchayat franchise due to the same reason. In a recent interview, the talented actor finally opened up about the ongoing speculations and dismissed the claims.

JITENDRA KUMAR DISMISSES PANCHAYAT EXIT REPORTS

Jitendra Kumar has refuted these rumors, labeling them entirely false. In a conversation with India Today, the actor addressed the issue, stating, "There was a lot of panic and I could see that all over social media. The last season ended on Abhishek's transfer and that also spurred the buzz further. There was a misunderstanding, and honestly, main bhi pareshan ho jata tha (I would get troubled) answering the same questions. At one point, I was like aur mat poochon, bandh karo yeh (don't ask about it, end it now)."

Despite knowing the news was false and already gearing up for the new season, Jitendra Kumar remained unaffected. The rumors were laid to rest after the release of the first trailer of Panchayat 3. Jitendra Kumar remarked, "Given I have had a long association with TVF, people were worried about what went wrong. I understood it's their love and we just waited for the first trailer to end all speculations."

For those who are unaware, Panchayat narrates the tale of an engineering graduate who becomes a panchayat secretary due to limited job opportunities. Following its debut in April 2020, the second season arrived two years later in 2022. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the Prime Video web series has garnered numerous accolades, including the Best Web Series (OTT) award at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
