Regarding the increasing popularity of OTT platforms among audiences compared to films, Addinath says, "Currently, in the realm of OTT platforms, there exists ample opportunity, making it a vast platform for budding talent. While films tend to lean towards casting established actors, OTT platforms have created an avenue for fresh talent to showcase their skills. It's indeed an incredible time to be an actor, artist, writer, or creator."

Exploring how OTT platforms are transforming the way audiences consume entertainment content, he says, "The audience's consumption of entertainment content has shifted significantly. Post-lockdown, with a lack of fresh content, many switched from television to OTT platforms, with around 70-80% of them making this transition. This shift has led to a maturation in their content preferences, influenced by exposure to international and OTT content. Consequently, television programming post-lockdown needed to adapt, with producers urged to change storytelling to align with the audience's evolved taste. The OTT platform has accelerated the evolution of the Indian audience's preferences."

Regarding whether OTT platforms offer more diverse and niche content compared to films, he says, "Certainly, the OTT platform eliminates language barriers by offering subtitles, enabling viewers to access a wide range of content, including Tamil, Malayalam, French, Turkish, and Korean films. This diversification enriches the content viewing experience, broadening the horizons of audiences and allowing them to explore various cultures and cinematic styles."

When discussing the advantages of OTT platforms in terms of accessibility and convenience for audiences, he shares, "OTT is very convenient for the audience; in fact, today people watch television also on OTT. So in the house, all the house helpers sit and watch television shows and daily soaps when their work is done. So that is more convenient because then you can see it as per your time and convenience. I think that trend has changed now, and I think slowly everything is going to go on the OTT. The theatrical experience is different, and the OTT experience is different."
