Shekhar Home OTT Release date, trailer: It's raining new shows on JioCinema Premium. The leading streaming platform will unveil several exciting series in August 2024. While the month will begin with Bigg Boss OTT 3 finale, JioCinema will take the viewers on a roller coaster ride filled with drama, emotions and suspense with Dus June Ki Raat and Shekhar Home.

The much-awaited detective drama series will premiere on August 14, a day before the Independence Day 2024. The makers have unveiled the trailer, giving the fans a glimpse of the world where Shekhar unravels the mystery with his detective brilliance.

The first episode of Shekhar Home will be released at midnight on JioCinema Premium.

SHEKHAR HOME CAST

The seseries features an ensemble cast of Kay Kay Meon, Ranvir Shorey, Rasika Dugal and Kirti Kulhari in key roles. It is said to be inspired by literary works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, which are in public domain.

The 6-episode series is set against the backdrop of West Bengal's Lonpur. Shekhar Home has been produced by BBC Studios Productions India while Rohan Sippy and Srijit Mukherjee have directed the project.

Talking about his role, Kay Kay Menon said in a statement, "Shekhar's character took me back to the good old days. I re-lived the memories of the time when social media was not even a thing. After reading the script and analysing this role, I was drawn to the complexity of unravelling mysteries. The series isn't just about solving crimes-it's also about exploring human nature in all its aspects- from love and loyalty to betrayal and deceit. Playing Shekhar was a pure delight. I'm excited to bring Shekhar to all of you."

Rasika Dugal commented, "Working on 'Shekhar Home' has been a fun journey. It was a delight to collaborate with talented actors like Kay Kay Menon and Ranvir Shorey. And to be directed by Rohan Sippy. My character, Iraboty, is a force to reckon with-a strong, determined woman driven by the quest for justice.
