Shekhar Home OTT Release EXCLUSIVE! Kay Kay Menon, Rasika Dugal On Shooting In Middle Of Heat Wave:

Shekhar Home OTT release: JioCinema Premium is gearing up to launch its latest detective drama series, Shekhar Home, on August 14th. The series stars Kay Kay Menon in the titular role Shekhar, a detective renowned for his exceptional skills in solving complex cases. Joining Menon in the cast are Ranvir Shorey, Rasika Dugal, and Kirti Kulhari, each bringing their unique flair to key roles. Shekhar Home is inspired by the literary works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle which are in public domain and is directed by Rohan Sippy and Srijit Mukherjee.
The show is based on the timeline of the 1990s, in a small town in West Bengal. The shooting of the show took place under intense heat, with temperatures reaching 45-50 degrees Celsius, in West Bengal. The extreme heat wave was deliberately chosen to evoke a rustic, 1990s atmosphere, reflecting the era in which the show is set. The lead cast of the show Kay Kay Menon and Rasika Dugal recall their experience of shooting in the heat wave conditions.
Kay Kay Menon exclusively told Filmibeat, "It was 45 degrees and scorching heat but when you are immersed in your work, it's typically like a batsman who is waiting for his hundred. He is exhausted but he still enjoys it so much that it doesn't matter. For me as well, working in this was a very enjoyable affair and that mattered the most. If it wouldn't have been so much fun, heat would surely have bothered me much more. But obviously, when you go back to your room, you see the damage caused by the sun and that's entirely different."
"We shot in the middle of a heat wave for Shekhar Home and it was quite difficult. We were shooting outdoors and it was not easy to maintain the look in those extreme conditions. I would also to give a special mention to the crew. Their work involves so much physical labor, shooting in such extreme weather conditions requires everyone to give their all in," added Rasika Dugal.
The detective series, Shekhar Home will be available for streaming from 14th August on JioCinema Premium!
