Silence 2 OTT release date, platform: Manoj Bajpayee has packed a solid punch in the second installment of his Silence franchise. Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout, which premiered on April 16 on ZEE5, has managed to capture the attention of the audience.

As the film clocked millions of minutes of watch on ZEE5, Filmibeat got in touch with the captain of the ship to know about the secrets from the sets. Director Aban Deohans spilled the beans on guiding the actors on the set and also, revealed the special instruction that he gave to Manoj Bajpayee and others.

Silence 2 explores dark secrets and hidden truths. What impact do you hope the film will have on the audience?

A- Silence 2 delves into dark secrets and hidden truths, making it a full-blown murder mystery filled with suspense, tense situations, and the hope that the audience will be on the edge of their seats. The thrill of not knowing what will happen next and the anticipation of uncovering the truth is an engaging process. It also provides an intellectual challenge, akin to solving a mystery or piecing together clues, which is very stimulating for viewers. However, at its core, crime stories revolve around the pursuit of justice with the protagonist and their team working to right the wrongs and bring criminals to justice. Ultimately, I believe this theme resonates with the audience's desire for fairness and morality."

"The movie features intricate character dynamics. How did you guide the actors to portray the nuances of their characters, especially in the context of the unfolding mystery?

A- Especially this time, we had characters playing very layered roles. So what I did was organize workshops and readings, allowing the actors to explore the backstories, motivations, and personality traits of their characters. I encouraged them to dive deep into the psyche of the characters to understand the nuances, discussing motives to help them understand the underlying reasons behind their behavior and how those motives drive the plot forward. I particularly drew attention to the physicality and gestures of the characters, developing certain mannerisms like body language and facial expressions to reflect the nuances of their personalities. Additionally, I instructed all the actors to explore vulnerability in their personal moments, digging into their own past to pull references that would help them play their characters better and tap into their emotions to bring authenticity to their roles. Because many of the characters had very layered roles, it was important to understand at what point they needed to reveal what expression."
