Swatantrya Veer Savarkar OTT Release Date & Platform: Randeep Hooda, one of Bollywood's most versatile actors, made his directorial debut with Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. Two months after the theatrical release, the Randeep Hooda starrer historial biographical-drama is set for its OTT premiere. The film was released in cinemas on 22nd March 2024, clashing with Kunal Kemmu's directorial debut film, Madgaon Express. Swatantrya Veer Savarkar was produced by Zee Studios in association with Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, Legend Studios, Avak Films and Randeep Hooda Films.

Based on the life of the Indian freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Randeep had garnered a lot of praise from fans and critics alike for his top-notch performance in this film.

Headlined by Hooda, the historical biographical-drama also stars Ankita Lokhande as Yamunabhai Savarkar along with Amit Sial, Rajesh Khera and Sanjay Sharma among others in pivotal roles.

Written, directed, co-produced and headlined by Randeep Hooda, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is all set to premiere digitally on Zee5 on 28th May 2024, on the occasion of Veer Savarkar's 141st birth anniversary.

On Monday, the Highway actor took to Instagram and announced the same. Sharing a clip, the actor captioned it, "Akhand Bharat tha unka sapna, Hindutva thi jiski buniyaad. Watch the untold story of #SwatantryaVeerSavarkar - 'India's Most Dangerous Revolutionary Ever', premiering on his 141st birthday, 28th May only on #ZEE5. #ReliveSavarkarOnZEE5"

Randeep Hooda had invested his personal savings to make this film. During his appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, the 47-year-old actor stated -

"We had financial difficulties. My father had saved up and bought two or three properties for me in Mumbai, I let go of them and put the money into the movie. I couldn't stop. This film didn't have anybody's support."
