Directed by Hansal Mehta, the crime-drama thriller had its world premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival in 2023. Amid decent buzz, the film released in cinemas today (September 13). The movie has been receiving mixed response from the fans and critics alike.

Besides headlining the film, Kareena Kapoor Khan has also co-produced the film along with Ektaa R. Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. The crime drama marks Bebo's debut as a producer. The film revolves around the story of a grieving mother who moved to a new town after losing her child where she gets assigned with an investigation case about the disappearance of a missing child.
The movie also stars Ranveer Brar, Keith Allen, Ash Tandon and Rukku Nahar among others in key roles.

While the official OTT release date of the movie is yet to be announced, the digital rights of The Buckingham Murders have already been acquired by Netflix. Given the OTT release pattern, the film is expected to stream on the said OTT streaming after 45-60 days of its theatrical release at least. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
