Poonam Sinha Viral Remark On Sonakshi Sinha-Zaheer Iqbal Wedding: It's been months since Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal exchanged wedding vows and still they manage to paint the town red with their lovey-dovey appearances. Ditching religious ceremonies, the couple tied the knot on 23rd June 2024 in an intimate ceremony.

The newlyweds, along with Sonakshi's parents - Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha - recently appeared on Kapil Sharma's laugh-out-loud Netflix show 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' Season 2. In the episode, Poonam took a jibe at her son-in-law Zaheer. Ever since the episode premiered, Sonakshi's mother has been receiving flak on the internet.

Last Week, the Sinhas - Shatrughan Sinha, Poonam Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal took over the stage on Netflix's The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2. During the episode, Poonam Sinha revealed her mother would always say that a woman should get married to a man who loves her. She further added that she listened to her mother's advice but her daughter (Sonakshi) married someone who she loves more.

"Meri mummy ne kaha tha ki hamesha ussi se shaadi karna jo tumko zyada pyaar kare. Voh toh maine sunn liya, kar bhi liya. Lekin meri beti ne kya kiya? Usne usse shaadi ki jisko yeh zyada pyaar karti hai," Poonam Sinha was quoted saying.

Soon after this, Sonakshi was seen interrupting her and said, "Voh thoda debatable hai. Usko (Zaheer) lagta hai voh mujhse zyada pyaar karta hai. Mujhe lagta hai main usse zyada pyaar karti hoon. Ab settle kaun karega yeh maamla?"

The video is now going viral on the internet. Seems like, Poonam Sinha's remark didn't go well with the audience and she's been facing severe backlash over her dig. Taking to Reddit, one of the users reacted to the video saying, "That was very distasteful. On what basis is she saying her husband loves her more, when the whole episode he made fun of their marriage commenting how unhappy they're together and everyone knows about his affair with reena roy. Glad sonakshi diverted the topic very gracefully." Another user commented, "Her mom married a guy who loved her more and still had an affair, what point is she trying to prove?"

Some of them also praised Sonakshi for handling the situation gracefully.
