After films like Laila Majnu, Rockstar, Dangal and Jab We Met received thunderous response at the box office, the epic folklore horror-saga, Tumbbad, is set to follow the same path. The Sohum Shah starrer has re-released in cinemas on 13th September, 2024.

Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, Tumbbad was first released on 12th October 2018 and became an unexpected hit at the box office. C-written by Mitesh Shah, Prasad, Barve, and Anand Gandhi, the film starred Sohum Shah as Vinayak Rao in the lead along with Jyoti Malshe, Dhundiraj Prabhakar Jogaleka, among others.

The movie follows the story of Vinayak's search for a hidden 20th century treasure in the Indian village of Tumbbad, Maharashtra.

Tumbbad On OTT: Where To Watch Tumbbad Online?

The 2018 cult fantasy horror-drama, Tumbbad had its OTT premiere on Prime Video. The movie was available on the said OTT platform until a couple of months ago when Amazon Prime Video took the film down in India. However, the film is available on Prime Video's UK region. The prologue of the film is now available on JioCinema.

Headlined by Sohum, Tumbbad had created History by becoming the first Indian film ever to be premiered in the Critics' Week section of the prestigious 75th Venice International Film Festival. Made on a budget of only Rs 5 cr, the film went on to become a cult-classic and grossed around Rs 13.57 cr at the box office.
