Vedaa OTT Release Date Update: Following the record-breaking success of Pathaan last year, alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Bollywood action-star John Abraham returned to the silver screen this year with Vedaa. Helmed by Nikkhil Advani, the action-packed drama starred Sharvari in the leading female role.

Produced by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment, Vedaa also features is said to be inspired by true events and also features Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Vidyarthi in important roles. Amid a good buzz, the film finally released on the big screen in August this year, on Independence Day.

In Vedaa, John Abraham portrays Major Abhimanyu, while Sharvari takes on the titular role of Vedaa. The film also includes special appearances by Tamannaah Bhatia and Mouni Roy.

The gripping 3-minute and 10-second trailer kicks off with John Abraham's character, Abhimanyu, being restrained by members of an oppressive regime. The story centers around Sharvari's character, Vedaa, as she teams up with Abhimanyu to challenge the corrupt system. Packed with intense action sequences, the film showcases both actors in adrenaline-pumping stunts.

The film clashed with Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein in theatres and underperformed at the box office. However, a section of moviegoers loved it and are awaiting its digital premiere. Well, their is reportedly coming to an end very soon.

According to a Dainik Jagran report, ZEE5 has acquired the streaming rights of Vedaa and the film is likely to premiere on the OTT platform next week, on October 12. Yes, you read that right! However, an official confirmation regarding the same is still awaited.

Well, the film grossed over Rs 26 crores at the box office worldwide and it'll be interesting to see what kind of response Vedaa will get from viewers after its OTT premiere.
