Bhool Chuk Maaf OTT Release Date: Bhool Chuka Maaf, a film by Maddock Films, was originally planned to hit theatres on May 9 and had created a lot of excitement. But following the India-Pakistan tension after the Pahalgam terror attack, the makers unexpectedly decided to release the movie directly on Amazon Prime Video. This sudden change led to a legal dispute.

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, Bhool Chuk Maaf ran into legal trouble before its release. PVR Inox, the multiplex chain involved with the film, filed a lawsuit against the makers for breaching their agreement. This sudden change in plans-shifting from a theatrical release to a direct-to-digital premiere-allegedly caused a loss of ₹60 crore.

However, the dispute was eventually resolved. Following discussions between Maddock Films, PVR Inox Limited, and Amazon MGM Studios, all parties reached a mutual understanding.

Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and Kamal Gianchandani of PVR Inox jointly confirmed that Bhool Chuk Maaf would proceed with its originally planned theatrical release. As per the revised schedule, the film has officially hit cinemas today, May 23.

After the new release announcement, PVR Inox officially withdrew its demand for Rs 60 crore in compensation from Maddock Films. This development came after both parties reached a mutual agreement. The official announcement also revealed that Bhool Chuk Maaf will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video only two weeks after its theatrical debut, offering viewers an early digital release compared to the usual industry gap. Yes, you read that right!

Bhool Chuk Maaf is confirmed to premiere on Prime Video India on June 6. This shorter window breaks the usual industry pattern, as most films typically maintain an eight-week gap between cinema and digital premieres.
