Detective Sherdil: Arjun Recalls His 1st Meeting With Diljit; Reveals What He Learnt From Punjabi Icon | EXCL

Diljit Dosanjh aces the art of making headlines and there are no second thoughts about it. From his soulful voice to his incredible acting skills, Diljit has proved his mettle time and again. And now he is making headlines for his recent release Detective Sherdil which is a mystery comedy. Directed by Ravi Chhabriya, the movie has opened to mixed reviews. Interestingly, Detective Sherdil, featuring Boman Irani, Sumeet Vyas, Ratna Pathak Shah, Banita Sandhu, and Chunky Pandey, also marked the debut of a young actor named Arjun Tanwar who left everyone in awe with his first performance.

For the uninitiated, Arjun Tanwar was seen playing the role of Purvak who is a deaf and mute accountant and was among the prime suspects of a murder in the movie. The actor left everyone amazed with his expressions and has been overwhelmed with all the love coming his way. Talking about the same, Arjun, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, shared his excitement and stated, "I had been waiting for this opportunity for all my life but now that it's happening with me, I don't know how to take it all in. So I'm just taking it one day at a time. So everyday is coming with a new flavour for me and I am relishing every day as it's coming to me".

Amid this, Arjun Tanwar can't stop gushing about working with Diljit and was all gaga about the Punjabi singer. Recalling his first meeting with Diljit, Arjun stated, "I have been grooving to his songs since many years. In fact, we used to work out together in the same gym almost three years ago. Back then he told me, "Paaji kuch baat hai yaar aap me. Bahut aage jaoge". That thing really stayed with me. So when we met on set now, he was so happy to know that I was there"

When quizzed about what he learnt from Diljit, Arjun asserted, "While we were shooting for this film he was already busy with the shows and used to keep on doing to and fro for his shows and the film. But never ever did he make us feel that he's busy. He was always there in the moment. So that's what I learnt from him. That's what I really learnt from all the biggies in this film that wherever you are be there. You don't have to think about anything else. You just have to really respect the moment and be in the moment".

Meanwhile, talking about his upcoming projects, Arjun revealed that he is working on a film called Party Animals wherein he is playing the lead. Directed by Ravi Chhabriya again, the movie is likely to release by the end of this year. Besides, he also have two singles coming up in 2025 as well.
