Dhurandhar Streaming Platform Revealed: Ranveer Singh’s Film To Premiere On THIS OTT After Theatrical Release?

Dhurandhar Release Date: Dhurandhar is counted among the most awaited Bollywood films of 2025, creating a massive buzz even before its release. Led by Ranveer Singh in a powerful avatar, the film has captured national attention due to speculation about its storyline and alleged connection to the life of Major Mohit Sharma, an Army officer and Ashoka Chakra awardee. However, director Aditya Dhar has cleared that the film is not based on his story.

Since its announcement, Dhurandhar has been grabbing eyeballs with moviegoers eagerly awaiting its theatrical release. Well, their wait is ending in just a few days. Ahead of its theatrical premiere, an important update related to the film's streaming release is out now.

DHURANDHAR OVERVIEW: PLOT, CAST, RELEASE DATE AND OTHER DETAILS

Ranveer Singh takes centre stage in Dhurandhar, a big-ticket espionage thriller that has already sparked massive curiosity. In the film, he essays a ruthless Indian intelligence operative known only as "The Wrath of God", a mysterious figure sent on a mission that tests both skill and sanity.

While the makers have not officially linked the story to any one individual, the narrative is said to draw inspiration from an actual Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) covert mission, giving the film an intense real-world edge. The plot unfolds in Pakistan's volatile Lyari region, where Singh's character infiltrates a dangerous maze of terrorism and organised crime. His operation forms the crux of this action-packed saga, filled with high-risk manoeuvres, hidden identities, and brutal encounters.

Adding weight to the film is an ensemble cast whose characters appear to mirror real-life personalities. R. Madhavan steps into the role of Ajay Sanyal, the chief strategist of Indian intelligence, whose persona resembles that of NSA Ajit Doval. Akshaye Khanna becomes Rehman Dakait, a dreaded mafia leader inspired by an infamous gangster.

Arjun Rampal plays Major Iqbal, an ISI officer rumoured to be modelled after the feared militant Ilyas Kashmiri, while Sanjay Dutt appears as Pakistan's stern police officer, SP Chaudhary Aslam. Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi are also part of the supporting cast.

Widely touted as one of the most ambitious Bollywood releases of 2025, Dhurandhar will arrive in cinemas on December 5, 2025. The film is reportedly Part One of a two-part saga, with a runtime exceeding three hours.

DHURANDHAR OTT PARTNER NAME REVEALED

As per a report by OTTplay, Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical digital rights to Dhurandhar. After its theatrical run, the high-octane espionage thriller is slated to stream exclusively on the platform from January 30, 2026.

With Netflix's global reach, the film is expected to draw massive international attention, positioning Dhurandhar as one of the biggest OTT premieres of early 2026.
